London demonstrators series
Shot between the years 2008 - 2009, and exhibited under the name 'Moments of protest', this project examined
the incredibly varied, flourishing culture of mass political protest in London.
Billy Macrae photographed this project having just come back from working alongside the NBA (Narmada Bachao Andolan)
a charity in Northern India, where he had witnessed protesting passionately on the streets of New Delhi, India.
The aim of the project was to explore how 'his own' people approach the challenge of making their political points heard, on
the streets of his own country's capital city.
