Feature: British Cage Fighters
These images come from fight night at the 'Extreme Brawl' league of British cage fighters,
which took place in 2009 at a hotel on the outskirts of London.
Combat at Extreme Brawl takes place inside an octagonal 'cage', and almost anything goes.
Most fighters do not wear boxing gloves, or any padding. Bouts normally end when the referee steps in.
This may be an utterly brutal sport... but it is nonetheless completely legal, and provides an outlet for
young men's aggression in a society that currently provides few alternatives.
